Last night we attended the Footlighters Theater in Berwyn, Pennsylvania's production of "The Music Man". We went to see Will Raynor in his role of Tommy Djillas. We have been following Will's amazing progress since his inaugural performance in "The Miracle Worker". The last time we were at the Footlighter Theater was to see Will Raynor in "Annie Get Your Gun". Another fantastic show! We have also seen Will perform in "Guys and Dolls" and "Children of Eden". Every time we see him, we think he is great and he is always way better in his current role than in his last performance. Will, you have raised the bar so high! Last night we overheard someone saying Will is the next Orlando Bloom. Will, two things: 1) We think you will be better than Orlando Bloom and 2) as they say, "You have come a long way baby!"

The Footlighter Theater's web site describes "The Music Man" as "an affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall."

Tony Fillipone did a great job as director and he obviously assembled a super talented team. Also, hats off to several of the performers who did an outstanding job: Joe Ciresi as Harold Hill, Becca Finkenaur as Marian Paroo, Marianna Epright as Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn (the Mayor's wife), Eliza Gresh as Zaneeta Shinn and Dan Ciresi as Winthrop Paroo. For such a young man, Dan has an amazing voice! Congratulations to the entire cast of "The Music Man" for a job well done!
